Proposal of driveline of prototype for Shell Eco-marathon
Skácelík, Radek ; Klimeš, Lubomír (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
In the bachelor thesis, the drivetrain design of the racing car is solved and described. The competition rules are summarized in the introduction. Then the driving resistances and drivetrain design variants are evaluated, which main objective is to achieve low fuel consumption. The solution is focused on the concept of a planetary gear-shifting hub, in combination with the synchronous belt drive. The Honda GX25 engine with a centrifugal clutch and the driven wheel dimension of 20” is used to drive the design. The design solution is shown at the assembly drawing.
Autonomous traction vehicle of a type AGV
Brauner, Jiří ; Urbánek, Michal (referee) ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of an autonomous traction vehicle of a type AGV, used to purvey material flow. The first part of the thesis contains a research on the autonomous trucks with similar concepts offered on the market. The second part contains the description of the design of the prototype truck. It includes the selection of the guiding and safety components as well as the design of the traction drive and the traction battery. Finally, a frame design with force calculation of the selected node is performed.
Methods of reducing the consumption of modern vehicles
Kubeš, Filip ; Pech, Ondřej (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
This thesis summarizes the basic knowledge of thermodynamics of internal combustion engines. Emphasis was put on engine efficiency and engine cycles, described by theoretical and indicator diagrams. It also introduces classification of engine efficiencies, and their respective definitions. The next section focuses on some systems used in modern vehicles, that improves engine efficiency and reduces fuel consumption. Moreover it includes conceptual solutions, that are in preparation for mass production. The last part of this thesis concentrates on economical driving techniques, and reduction of driving resistance. In conclusion, the thesis shows the direction of next development of automobiles.
Design of direct shift gearbox
Kliš, Vojtěch ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Řehák, Kamil (advisor)
This thesis deals with the conceptual design of a double clutch gearbox and the inspection of selected designed parts of this gearbox. The first part of the thesis is focused on the theory of automotive transmissions and analysis of already available double clutch gearboxes. The following is the conceptual design itself, which is based on the selected vehicle on which the transmission will be located and on driving resistances. Based on these default values, the gear graduation is selected, which affects the vehicle’s driving dynamics. With regard to the installation space, a conceptual arrangement of the gearbox is proposed. Furthermore, the thesis is focused on the basic design and calculations of individual functional components of the gearbox. The last part of the thesis is involved to the control of selected structural nodes using the finite element method in the ansys workbench software. The whole thesis describes the individual steps for the design of the basic concept of a double clutch gearbox and the design of their basic components.
Measuring the power of IC-engines
Adamec, Vojtěch ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with topic measuring the power and the torque of internal combustion engines on chassis dynamometer. The aim of the thesis was to show advantages and disadvantages of different types of dynamometers, to make review of standards for measuring power on chassis dynamometer, effect of atmospheric conditions, resistances and slippage. Thesis also describes evolution, different designs of chassis dynamometers, effect of roller diameter to rolling resistance and deformation of tire, suitable types of dynamometers for chassis dynamometer, equipment of testing room, modes of operating and differences between static and dynamic power testing. In the end I have made prediction of incoming development devices of this type with regard to evolution of intelligent chassis control systems and electric vehicles.
Rolling Resistance Coefficient of Tires
Hasala, Matěj ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the rolling resistance coefficient of tyres both in terms of the factors that influence this coefficient and in terms of experimental methods for its determination. In the first part of the thesis, the key factors affecting the rolling resistance coefficient are discussed in detail. This is followed by a description of the methods used to measure rolling resistance in laboratory and real-world conditions. The thesis continues with an overview of typical rolling resistance coefficient values for tyres of different categories, which have been further divided into subcategories and compared with each other. The last part of the thesis is devoted to the principal design of a measuring device for rolling resistance measurement. The design takes the cost and capability of obtaining a certificate of roadworthiness into account. Specific measuring instruments and components needed for the homologation process were selected and price calculation of known parts was made.
